Created in France by Meilland in 1984, ‘Yakimour’ is a truly unusual Hybrid Tea, with amazing petals with an extraordinary chromatic contrast: red in the upper part and yellow below.

This polyvalent shrub can be cultivated as a bush or as a small creeper, and its name comes from a famous villa at the Côte d’Azur owned by the Aga Khan. It has long, curved, thorny branches and the leaves show 5-7 serrated leaflets.

The large double blooms, with no scent, blossom several times during the whole vegetative season, but it is a quite surpassed variety, born to bask in the warm Mediterranean sun and completely loses its leaves when the first winter frosts arrive.

In 2002 contributed with its pollen to the birth of the well-known variety ‘André le Nôtre’

Variety denomination : MEIpsilon
